Description
For me, this work is about the fear of darkness, which over time becomes a fear of loneliness. In the center of the painting is a small human figure, surrounded by darkness. Numerous hands extend from it—like images of anxious thoughts, obsessive sensations, and fears that arise particularly strongly when you are left alone with yourself. Here, darkness is not merely the absence of light. It is a space of the unknown, where the imagination begins to create things that may not even exist. The hands symbolize inner tension and the feeling that something is constantly trying to get closer, to reach out, to hold on. “Fear” is an attempt to show what is usually impossible to see: a person’s inner state at the moment when everything around them becomes quiet, dark, and frightening.
