Seller rules
Version of October 20, 2026
This is a translation. Where it differs from the Russian text, the Russian text prevails.
These rules supplement the Terms of use and apply to artists who list works on sanatplace. By sending a seller application, you accept these rules.
1. How to become a seller
- Sign in with Telegram and fill in the application: artist or studio name, “About you”, Telegram contact.
- A moderator reviews the application. Once it is approved, your seller cabinet opens.
- If it is rejected, the reason is shown on the application status page. Correct it and send it again.
2. Public profile
Once your application is approved, your name or studio name, “About you” text, photo, the date you joined, your works and the number of likes they have become visible to everyone, are indexed by search engines and are shown in link previews. You give separate consent to this in the application. See the Privacy policy for details.
Your Telegram contact is not published: it lets the moderator reach you, and you may leave it out. Changes to your profile in the cabinet are published straight away, without another review, but must follow these rules.
3. Requirements for works
- You sell only originals of your own authorship (or works of the studio you represent) and have the right to dispose of them. Copies, prints and reproductions passed off as originals are prohibited.
- The title, description, size, technique, year and price must be true. The price is given in somoni (TJS).
- Photos must be of your work, without other people's watermarks, collage frames, contacts or advertising.
- Every new work and every change to it is reviewed by a moderator. Until approved, a work is not in the catalog.
- A sold work must be marked “Sold” in the cabinet straight away.
4. Prohibited
- passing off other people's works as your own, or using other people's photos;
- illegal, offensive or pornographic content, propaganda of violence or hatred;
- listing the same work several times, or luring buyers with a knowingly false price;
- taking prepayment for a work you don't have, or misleading buyers in any other way.
5. Moderation
The moderator may reject an application or a work, unpublish a work, replace or remove an unsuitable profile photo and, for serious or repeated violations, close access to the seller cabinet. Decisions are made under these rules, and the reason for a rejection is shown in the cabinet. If you disagree with a decision, write to us (see Contacts).
6. Rights to images
All rights to your works and their photos remain yours. By uploading a photo, you allow the Operator, free of charge, for the whole time it is listed and in all countries:
- to store the photo, reduce it, convert it to another format and remove its metadata;
- to show it on the site, in the catalog, on the artist's page, in banners and selections on the home page;
- to pass it on for link previews in messengers and social networks and for display in search engines.
You also allow the titles and descriptions of your works and your “About you” text to be translated into other languages, including automatically, and the translations to be shown in the site's language versions. A translation does not change your rights to the text.
You confirm that you are entitled to give this permission and are responsible to third parties for any infringement of their rights.
7. Deals with buyers
Buyers write to you in a conversation on the site, and our Telegram bot tells you about new messages. You agree on the price, payment, delivery, packaging, timing and returns with the buyer yourself and are responsible to them for keeping to what was agreed. The Operator takes no part in the deal, does not accept money and charges no commission. You pay any taxes on sales yourself, in accordance with the law.
Listing works is currently free. If a commission or paid features appear, we will tell you in advance and publish a new version of these rules.
8. Removing works and deleting your profile
To take a work off sale or to delete your profile together with your works and photos, write to us (see Contacts). We carry out the request within 30 days. A sold work may stay on the artist's page marked “Sold” unless you ask us to remove it.
